Google sells SketchUp to Trimble Navigation for undisclosed sum
While we're probably more accustomed to Google buying assets than selling them 'round here, every now and again the search giant does shed some skin. El Goog's 3D modeling platform, SketchUp, is to be sold to Trimble Navigation for an undisclosed sum reports Reuters. Trimble says it's hoping to use the acquisition to enhance its office-to-field platform. The two firms will also work together to develop SketchUp's online repository of 3D models for designers to use, share and contribute to. SketchUp's blog reassures users that the free version won't change under the move. The deal should get the final nod in Q2 this year.

Wiz Khalifa Has 'No Ill Will' Toward Waka Flocka Flame
'I don't have problems with people, because if I do, I address it,' Wiz tells 'RapFix Live.'

Wiz Khalifa isn't interested in beefing with Waka Flocka Flame. In fact, he isn't interested in beefing with anyone.
"I don't have problems with people, because if I do, I address it," he said when he appeared on Wednesday's "RapFix Live." "If I feel someone disrespected me or if I feel like somebody was mentioning me in an indirect way I'ma find out how to talk to that person and then we'll squash it from there."
There have been rumors of a Wiz and Waka tiff, but it wasn't until Flocka's December interview with DJ Kay Slay on his Shade 45 satellite radio show that eyebrows began to rise. During the interview, Waka said that Wiz had "no swag" and "hyped" his way to the top.
Rather than address his feelings in the media, Khalifa said he'd rather wait to speak to the "O Let's Do It" rapper face to face. "What would I say to him? I really want to say it to him. We'll save it for that, it don't gotta be a public thing. It don't gotta be a peace meeting or nothing like that."
On Tuesday, Waka appeared on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 radio show in New York, and when he was asked about his problems with Wiz, Flocka said the issue was "deaded," but he didn't back down from his original statement. "I voiced my opinion because it's true and it's facts," he said before making some type of amends. "That's a nice guy he makes good music, I got cousins who like his music."
Whatever the case, Wiz won't feed into the negativity. "I never felt no ill will, he has his lane and when his songs come on in the club, people go crazy," Wiz said. "And people like to get high to Wiz Khalifa, so get used to it, baby."
Do you believe that there is serious underlying beef between Wiz Khalifa and Waka Flocka or is it all just media hype? Tell us in the comments.

Shure SRH1440
In the iPhone era, headphones have taken a backseat to in-canal earphones for portability reasons. For the professional musician, mastering engineer, or serious audiophile, however, headphones are often still preferred for reference listening. Shure's SRH1440, at $399.99 (list), is actually a bargain for such discerning listeners. Compared to most headphones in this price range, the SRH1440 ?is feature-barren, and home recording studio enthusiasts should look elsewhere, as these open back headphones are designed to leak audio. However, if you're looking for a pair of powerful, professional headphones with excellent audio performance, the SRH1440 deserves your attention.
Design
The SRH1440's headband and circumaural (ear-enclosing) ear cups are black matte plastic, with the white Shure logo above both ears, and a black glossy logo embossed on the top of the band. The inside of the headband is lined with plush foam. At the bottom of each ear cup, there is a jack for the included audio cables?both of which terminate in a gold-plated 3.5mm connector. (A ?-inch gold-plated adapter is included for stereo system and pro gear.)
The inclusion of an extra detachable audio cable and replacement earpads help extend the life, and thus overall value, of the package. The SRH1440, cables, and the replacement velour earpads and come nuzzled inside a massive black zip-up protective case. The headphones are big on their own, but the case makes it impractical to stuff them in a bag.? Add in the fact that the open back design of the earcups means sound is also projected outward, and we're looking at a pair that's more suitable for home use than portable use.
The most important design element to take into account for a large pair of professional headphones is comfort. Shure did well in this regard. The black velour ear pads are ideal not just because they don't get uncomfortable over long listening periods, but because they also don't get very hot. The headband presses down on the scalp a bit after a long listening session, but the discomfort is only minor?you can easily wear this pair for hours at a time.
Performance
The first thing you notice about the SRH1440's excellent audio performance is the crispness of the mids and highs, which take center stage over bass response. The low frequencies are perfectly represented?they just aren't exaggerated like they are in so many modern headphones, such as the Beats by Dr. Dre from Monster ($349.95, 4 stars). Orchestral music, like John Adams' "The Chairman Dances," sounds amazing, with a sense of space that you don't often get from in-canal earphones or even some headphones. The lower register instruments possess an ideal resonance, but the brass and wooden percussion sit front and center.
On deep bass tracks, like The Knife's "Silent Shout", there is no distortion, though you get the sense that, at maximum volume, it is just about to come creeping in to the equation. Well, no one should be monitoring at top volume, anyway, and at moderate-to-very high volumes the SRH1440 sounds clean as a whistle, reproducing super-deep bass parts clearly, without any crackling or muddiness. For all genres, the SRH1440 provides a flat response approach that lets music be reproduced with little embellishment.
If the $400 price is a bit too high, consider Shure's SRH550DJ ($125, 3.5 stars)?at less than half the price, it's a solid pair of circumaural headphones with far less leakage, which is ideal for DJs and home studios. The KRK Systems KNS-8400 ($149, 4 stars) are slightly pricier than the SRH550DJ , but offer more power and are definitely suited for recording studio applications. And if mobility is more of a priority, check out our Editors' Choice Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Hi-Fi Headphones ($299.95, 4.5 stars)?they're lightweight, on-ear, and sound excellent, though with a bit more embellishment of the lower frequencies. For $400, however, the SRH1440 nails exactly what it's designed for: A precise, dynamic, comfortable pair of headphones suitable for pro applications or casual home listening.

Space Shuttle Discovery arrives at its new home (+video)
In a public ceremony, NASA officially delivered the Space Shuttle Discovery to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum Thursday.
NASA officially delivered the space shuttle Discovery, its longest serving crewed spacecraft, to the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum on Thursday (April 19) during a public ceremony to hand over the iconic winged spacecraft.
Skip to next paragraphThe title transfer, which was witnessed by more than two dozen astronauts who flew on Discovery over the course of its 39 missions and more than 365 days in space,?kicked off a four-day festival?celebrating the retired orbiter's induction into the national aerospace collection at the space museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
"NASA and the Smithsonian signed an agreement in 1967 that has enabled the National Air and Space Museum topreserve and display the greatest icons?of our nation's space history," said Gen. J.R. "Jack" Dailey, director of the museum, in a statement released Monday. "At the Udvar-Hazy Center, Discovery will be seen by millions of people in the coming years, especially children, who will become the next generation of scientists, engineers, researchers and explorers."
Discovery came to the Udvar-Hazy Center by the way of a ferry flight from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Monday (April 17). The?winged orbiter landed?at Washington Dulles International Airport mounted atop NASA's Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, a modified Boeing 747 jumbo jet. Before touching down, the air- and spacecraft duo performed an historic flyover of Washington, D.C. and many of its landmarks. [Photos: Shuttle Discovery Flies to Smithsonian]
Rolling up to the Udvar-Hazy Center on Thursday morning, Discovery was parked for the ceremony opposite the orbiter that made its own spaceflights possible.
Enterprise, a prototype shuttle?that never flew in space but completed a series of critical approach and landing test flights in the late 1970s, had been part of the National Air and Space Museum's collection since 1985. In December 2003, it went on display inside the Udvar-Hazy Center's McDonnell Space Hangar as its centerpiece.
To make room for Discovery, the Smithsonian returned ownership of Enterprise to NASA in 2011. The space agency, in turn, awarded the test orbiter to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, a converted World War II aircraft carrier berthed along the Hudson River in New York City.
On Thursday, Enterprise was rolled out of the museum's hangar and displayed with Discovery nose-to-nose.

Jon Jones? next opponent: Dan Henderson
After Jon Jones defended the UFC light heavyweight belt with a win over Rashad Evans, questions immediately turned to his next opponent. At Saturday's post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White confirmed Dan Henderson would get the next shot at trying to unseat Jones.
This title shot comes after Henderson had a banner year in 2011. He won the Strikeforce light heavyweight belt, beat MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko, then returned to the UFC with a win over Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in a fight that's considered one of the best of all time.
It will be Henderson's third chance to win the UFC belt. After winning titles in Pride, Henderson lost UFC title shots to Anderson Silva at middleweight and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at light heavyweight. Back in 1998, Henderson won the UFC middleweight tournament at UFC 17, but that is the only UFC title he's won in his 15-year MMA career.
[ Also: UFC 145 recap: Jon Jones' length crucial in handling Rashad Evans for decision win ]
Though White didn't nail down a date for the Jones-Henderson bout, UFC 149 in Calgary was mentioned as a possibility.
Could Henderson be the man to stop Jon Jones? Tell us in the comments, on Facebook or on Twitter.
